What was your academic path before coming to the Digital Media Program? I wanted to be a nurse but wearing scrubs didn’t fit me. So I decided to have a career change.

What did you want to be when you were younger? Is that still an interest of yours? I wanted to wrestle.

What are your strengths on and why are you passionate about it? One of my biggest strengths is that  I am a go getter. I like more action, not so much words.

What is your favorite part of Digital Media? My favorite part is working with different Adobe software; for example flash.

What or who are your influences? I am influenced by God. He gives me strength to excel in anything that I pursue.  With him, I know I can not fail.

What is your future plan? My future plan is to either be a designer in my field or be in design management. I also wouldn’t mind being an instructor.

What advice would you give a prospective Digital Media student? If you don’t like to take risks, this isn’t the industry for you.

Interfaces 2010 is an annual conference promoting game design, graphic design, and digital media industries. Attendees last year included industry professionals, creative professionals, faculty from local and national colleges and universities, as well as students. In 2009, we had over 400 people attend, but we expect 2010 to be a bigger and better event that will challenge, excite, and motivate participants.

    2010 Speakers include:

Max Voelker – ZeeGee Games, Associate Producer
Brian Menze – Obsidian Entertainment, Senior Artist
Chris Arnold – Carbine Studios, Lead World Artist
Christian Allen – WB Games, Lead Game Designer
Greg Foertsch – Firaxis Games, Lead Artist

What was your academic path before coming to the Digital Media Program?I received a scholarship out of high school to study animation with the imagineers in Disney. From there I went on to receive a Degree in Graphic Design and was very much active in the corporate world of business. With the economic hardships we are facing with corporate business, it made me to want to become better at what I don’t know and to per cue other fields of Media design I know I can be good in.
